Centre Stage Engineering is a leading force in the stage engineering industry, delivering innovative mechanical solutions to performance spaces across the UK and beyond. With an exciting pipeline of projects, we are looking to recruit a Project Engineer to join our expanding and motivated team.
As part of the Projects department, you will work closely with clients, our in-house Design Engineers, and the Production and Installation teams to deliver stage engineering systems from concept through to completion. You will play a key role in the coordination, management, and successful delivery of multiple live projects—on time, on budget, and to a high standard.

Responsibilities will involve:
- Taking ownership of project delivery from handover to completion
- Liaising with clients, consultants, and contractors to develop solutions and manage expectations
- Coordinating with internal departments (Design, Production, Procurement)
- Preparing and managing project documentation, schedules, and budgets
- Overseeing installations on-site, including site surveys and contractor coordination
- Attending and contributing to client meetings and site inspections
- Supporting health and safety planning and compliance throughout project phases
The successful applicant must have:
- Experience working in a project engineering or project management role
- Working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor, or other similar 3D modelling software
- Experience in mechanical engineering
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- The ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation
- A practical and flexible approach to problem-solving
- A full UK driving licence
Desirable skills:
- Experience using Revit
- Familiarity with NEC or SBCC contract formats
- CSCS card or site management qualifications

Competitive salary, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Indicative range: £35,000–£45,000, depending on experience.
