An exciting opportunity to join an expanding business as an experienced welder/ fabricator who enjoys building interesting equipment for the theatre industry while being part of a close-knit team based in Thetford. Ideally, an individual who is experienced with multiple welding disciplines and the use of general workshop equipment would be desirable but not a prerequisite as training will be provided.

A day in the life of a Welder/ Fabricator at CSE will involve:
- Working from engineering drawings, and building simple brackets to complex lifting platforms.
- Fabrication of equipment using a variety of workshop tools.
- Assembly of equipment for testing purposes.
- Quality control checks of work.
- Working as part of a close, friendly, and supportive team.
The ideal candidate for this role will:
- Be City & Guilds (or equivalent) Qualified
- Be able to read and follow basic engineering Drawings
- Be able to read weld symbols and written instructions and procedures
- Be able to Mig and Tig weld in Aluminium and Mild Steel to a good standard
- Be able to use and operate callipers weld gauges tape measures and other hand tools
and Drills and other manufacturing equipment
- Capable of quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards
- Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation
- To help prioritize workflow through effective communication with your manager
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- To work in a team environment and respect all teammates
